The University is ruled by Statutes, re-edicted in 2014.

Statutes

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the University and comprises fourteen members: eight independent (including the Chair) from outside the University and the Colleges; the Vice-Chancellor and Chacellor; and four Heads of Colleges. It exercises guardianship over the University’s assets and resources, and ensures their effective management, control and use.


The Collegiate Council is to make recommendations to the Board of Trustees on the strategic direction of the University and on a plan for its implementation.


The Scholl of Advanced Studies is to serve national and international interests, in addition to those ofthe University, in the promotion and facilitation of research and advanced study in the humanities and social sciences.


The Central Academic Bodies are the components of the University. The School comprises the following Institutes:
